MAKKAH | 07-11-2026 — The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s continued attempts to target Muslim holy sites in Makkah and Madinah, as well as civilian areas across Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the militia’s deliberate attacks using ballistic missiles and drones, which were successfully intercepted by Saudi air defenses, describing them as violations of the sanctity of holy sites and innocent lives.

Al-Issa warned that the attacks risk provoking the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims, condemning the militia’s repeated acts of terrorism and violations of religious and humanitarian principles.

He stressed that the actions of the group calling itself Ansar Allah constitute a betrayal of religion and Muslims and contradict the guidance of God and His Messenger.

Speaking on behalf of the MWL’s councils, bodies and international assemblies, Al-Issa reaffirmed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to deter the attackers and protect holy sites and innocent lives.

He concluded by praying for the Kingdom’s continued security and the protection of its leadership and people.
